HOW TO PUBLISH A PLAYABLE AD ON FACEBOOK

Access Facebook Business Manager

Log in to your Facebook Business Manager account. If you don’t have one, you’ll need to create an account. Once logged in, navigate to Ads Manager by clicking on the menu icon (☰) in the top left corner and selecting “Ads Manager” from the dropdown menu.

Create a New Campaign

In Ads Manager, click on the “+ Create” button to start creating a new ad campaign. Choose your marketing objective. For a playable ad, select “App Installs” or “Conversions” depending on your goal. After choosing your campaign objective, proceed to set up your ad set. Define your target audience by selecting demographics, interests, behaviors, etc. Set your budget, schedule, and optimization preferences.

Design Your Ad Creative

In the ad creation section, select the ad format as “Playable.” Upload your playable ad creative. Customize the headline, text, and call-to-action button to align with your ad’s message and objectives. Scroll down to the “Media” section and click on “Add Component.” Select “Playable” from the dropdown menu. Upload the HTML5 file of your playable ad. Configure the ad preview and placement options.

Review and Publish Your Ad

Review your ad to ensure all details are correct, including targeting, budget, and creative elements. Click on the “Publish” or “Confirm” button to launch your playable ad campaign on Facebook.

Monitor Performance and Optimize

Once your ad is live, monitor its performance in Ads Manager. Track key metrics such as impressions, clicks, installs, and conversion rates. Use the insights gained from performance data to optimize your ad campaign further. Make adjustments to targeting, bidding strategies, and creative elements as needed to improve ad performance.

Analyze Results and Iterate

Periodically analyze the results of your playable ad campaign to assess its effectiveness. Identify areas for improvement based on performance data and user feedback. Iterate on your playable ad creative and campaign strategies to enhance engagement and drive better results. Continuously optimize your ad campaigns to ensure long-term success and maximize ROI. By following these steps, you can successfully publish a playable ad on Facebook and leverage its advertising platform to reach your target audience effectively.

Testing

Facebook accepts Playable Ads in 2 formats:
  • A single HTML file.
  • Or a ZIP package.
But unfortunatelly Facebook testing tool works only for the HTML version. Our framwork generates the ZIP package, because it is not limited to only 2MB like the HTML file. Thats why the package cannot be tested in Facebook testing tool. On the other hand, you can test the package during the deploy. There will be a preview tool.
