Using the Template Editor in PlayableMaker

Quickly create engaging playable ads with PlayableMaker’s Template Editor. This guide shows how to select templates, edit elements, adjust settings, and finalize your ad, making it easy to customize pre-defined scenarios for popular mobile games.

2. The TEMPLATE EDITOR offers templates most used mobile games.

Choose TEMPLATE EDITOR on the home screen.

Tip: if you want to make a Build at the end, Sign In. If you discover features just go on.

3. Check the templates to find the one that fits you. Each template contains a pre-defined scenario with editable elements, such as images, audio, fonts, texts, etc. Select a template and the playable ad starts automatically.

Tip: If you are not successful there is still the option to shoot a video of the gameplay and recreate into a playable ad in the Video Editor.

TODO inam: After you finish playing a game and want to move on to another template, click on the "Hamburger menu" in the left upper corner and choose a New Project - in mostly cases after a first try you don't want to download (e.g. save) the project. Start the Template Editor and choose a new template.

4. On the bottom bar are Preview Settings (from left to right):

  • Screen Resolution Button - click 375x667 for more options;

  • Screen Orientation Icon - view for the landscape and portrait;

  • Volume Settings - preview volume only, not the final gameplay volume setting (while ad editing set the volume to a bearable mode);

  • Restart Preview e.g. Replay button - start the preview of the ad from the beginning;

  • Warning Triangle Icon - warns about the missing information.

Tip: replay a chosen template couple of times before editing it, change the Screen Orientation and other settings.

5. Preview of a Landscape Screen Orientation.

6. After choosing the right template let's start editing it.

  1. Fill in the section General Properties:
  • Playable Ad Name;
  • URL for App Store;
  • URL for Google Play.
  1. Prepare the elements you want to exchange, such as images, music, background pictures, texts. Browse the Game properties, Intro Screen, End Screen sections located in the left menu, right on the top and see what elements you want to replace.

Tip: keep in mind the size of each element.

7. To exchange a pre-define elements in the templates, such as images, gif, audio, buttons, Background Screen, etc.

  • click on the pencil icon next to the Sprite;
  • upload an asset from your hard drive - it appears in the library;
  • click on the element in the library.

8. See example of a graphic change:

  1. A template screen.

9. 2. An edited ad screen.

10. After all is done you can get the Build - see the options in the right upper corner.
